Google Postman and ACI…Download the collection!


I created a Google Postman collection of common APIC tasks and published on GITHUB. Details about installing and using Postman can be found at http://policyetc.com/post/working-with-nxapi-and-google-postman
To use the collection first download from GITHUB at..

Then Import into postman...



The collection uses an environment. A Postman environment allows the use of variables. Variables are referenced using {{ var name }}. In this collection you will find variables references in both the URL and the data.

Making the collection work...
Before a command is run, you must run the login command. The collection has two options that do the same thing and use environment variables.


In some of the commands the user will have to edit either the URL or the XML/JSON data. For example...


Show commands should not require editing anything. Your milage may vary...
Once you have the command ready hit

If the command was successful the APIC will send a Status 200


if you get a code 403, login in again because your authentication token expired.
